Leadership tip
We are all leaders in our own right. Whether we’re CEO’s, big sisters/brothers, moms/dads, managers, doctors, student body president, prom queen/king, student, football/basketball captain, teacher, prime minister or president we have a responsibility to lead others with grace, discernment and integrity. If you’re new to leadership, take the time to research and observe what good leadership looks like. Leadership 101 – Embrace vulnerability and curiosity as a leader. We don’t know it all and there is always room to learn grow and expand.

Small Island Charm
No disrespect to the larger Caribbean islands because I know that they have their own specific charm and authenticity about them, but one of the things I’ve observed from my travels the last couple of years is the psychological safety that I feel when I visit smaller Caribbean islands. In a time when what I needed most was to feel safe in my skin, confident, calm, valued, seen, appreciated and reassured that it’s okay to truly relax, the small islands provided that sense of home, that feeling of welcome or welcome back and protection. Safe havens I call them because I rarely experience that kind of peace anywhere else. Life is just slower down there. A welcome nervous system reset. Special shoutout to St. Kitts, Carriacou, and St. Maarten.
Leadership tip
People at work who have a hard time taking vacation and leaving the office behind are:
- Insecure
- Lacking work-life balance
- Distrustful of their teams
…and often deeply tied to a culture that confuses busyness with value.
Take the break. The world won’t fall apart—but you just might if you don’t rest.

Spirituality
Hold this in your spirit –
If you’re in a waiting season, whether it’s personal or business-related, trust that El Roi – The God who sees about you has already gone before you to work it all out for your greatest good. The waiting may not feel good right now but the reward, the victory is on its way. Yes, you may get discouraged but that’s when you need to remain grounded in our faith. Remember who anchors you. A testimony of all that you endured will blossom beautifully from these struggles. Stay blessed and remember that you are highly favored in the eyes of God. Breakthrough, abundance, blessings and overflow are already on their way to you.
